Cal. 22 LR. S# 137147. Bbl. 6 5/8". Woodsman semi-automatic pistol, mfg. by Colt in 1940. The top of the bbl. is marked with Colt's mfg. and patent information, with "THE WOODSMAN" marked on the left side of the breech. Left side of the slide is marked "COLT", followed by the cal. designation and the Rampant Colt logo. Front grip strap is marked with the S#. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Patridge front sight, with adj. square notch rear sight. MAGS: one 10-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear, some superficial handling marks, as well as scattered spots of light surface oxidation and spots of cleaned surface oxidation overall. Grip straps exhibit wear and thinning that shows through to gray and brown patinas. Mirror bore, exhibiting strong rifling throughout. Grips show some smoothing, as a few scattered marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. (24-5158/MLW). CURIO. $700-1,000.
