SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 9x19mm Parabellum. S# 6990t. Bbl. 4". P.08 Luger semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Mauser in 1937. Top of bbl. extension is marked "1937", with Eagle/63 acceptance proofs and an eagle firing proof marked on the right. Toggle is marked with Mauser's "S/42" mfg. code. Metal components exhibit an original salt blue finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. All numbers are matching, with the exception of the aluminum bottom mag "S# 4929h". CONDITION: very good, with metal components retaining the majority of their original salt blue finish, exhibiting some edge wear, some wear around the muzzle on the bbl., as well as a small spot of wear on the toe of the frame. Mirror bore, exhibiting some light pitting and oxidation while retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips exhibit smoothing, with some scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. (23-5605/MLW). CURIO. $2,000-3,000.
