SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9x19mm. S# 9987q. Bbl. 4". P.08 Luger mfg. at the Mauser arsenal in 1937. The bbl. extension is marked "1937" over the chamber, with Mauser Eagle/63 acceptance proofs and an eagle firing proof stamped on the right. Toggle is marked with Mauser's "S/42" mfg. code. Major metal components exhibit a blue finish, with some smaller components including the takedown lever, trigger, safety lever, and ejector exhibiting a straw finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. All numbers are matching with the exception of the hold-open latch and grips, which are unnumbered. Blued "fxo" marked mag. with black plastic bottom. MAGS: 2 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brown leather holster marked "GENSCHOW&Co. A.G./ BERLIN", followed by an Eagle/WaA387 proof, and "1937" on the rear, and containing 1 spare non-matching aluminum bottom mag. and an unmarked loading tool. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray and brown patinas, with light surface oxidation present overall. Exterior and interior of pistol exhibits areas of grease. Strawed components exhibit varying degrees of wear, with worn areas exhibiting spots of age related discoloration. Poor bore, exhibiting pitting and fair to good rifling throughout. Grips exhibit smoothing and some scattered handling marks, with chipping present along the edges of the panels.
