SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 7485u. Bbl. 4". P.08 Luger semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Mauser for the German military in 1937. Top of the bbl. extension is marked with the 4-digit year of mfg. "1937", with Mauser Eagle/63 proofs marked on the right. Toggle is marked with Mauser's "S/42" mfg. code. Metal components exhibit a salt blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Interior of right grip panel is carved with an intertwined "WV". Dovetailed blade front sight, with V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, takedown lever, sideplate, trigger, safety lever & bar, hold-open latch, bbl., bbl. extension, trigger bar, breechblock, extractor, firing pin, toggles, rear toggle pin, as well as the grips. MAGS: 1 8-rd. mag. that appears to have been renumbered to match at one time. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original arsenal salt blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray and brown patinas, as well as some scattered spots of light pitting overall. Grip straps retain fair amounts of their original bluing, with the balance exhibiting a gray patina. Bore is bright, exhibiting consistent mild pitting, with some spots of darker pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips exhibit smoothing overall, with some scattered marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable.
