Cal. 7.65mm. S# 854196. Bbl. 3 3/8". PPK semi-automatic pistol, mfg. in Germany by Walther in 1935. The left side of the slide is marked with the Walther banner logo, followed by markings stipulating Walther's mfg. information as well as the cal. and model designations. Right side of slide, chamber, and bbl. exhibit a Crown/N commercial nitro proof. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, with the slide exhibiting a reapplied blue finish. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece checkered mottled brown plastic Walther banner logo grip. MAGS: one 7-rd. with mottled brown plastic grip extension. CONDITION: frame retains much of its original factory blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning on the grip strap, trigger guard, and rear frame spur that shows through to gray and brown patinas. Slide shows scattered spots of light pitting beneath the finish. Mirror bore, exhibiting well-defined rifling throughout. Grip shows some scattered superficial handling marks, as well as some age-related warping, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: the estate collection of Charles Wagner.
