Cal. 32 WS. S# 666847. Bbl. 26". Model 1894 lever action rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1913. Left side of the rnd. bbl. is marked with Winchester's 2-line mfg. and patent information, with "32 W.S." marked towards the breech. Upper receiver tang is marked "MODEL 1894" above the Winchester trademark logo. Bbl. and 2/3 length screw fastened mag. tube exhibit a blue finish. Hammer and lever exhibit a case colored finish. Lightly sanded and refinished plain wood forearm and straight grip buttstock with crescent steel buttplate. Unmarked aftermarket brass beaded blade front sight with dovetailed U-notch rear sight. CONDITION: receiver and forearm cap have been cleaned at one time, exhibiting a gray patina, with light pitting and scattered spots of age related discoloration present overall. Hammer and lever retain traces of their original case colored finish. Bbl. and mag. tube show streaks / areas of wear and thinning fading to gray patina, as well as scattered superficial handling marks. Buttplate has faded to a gray patina, exhibiting scattered spots of flaking varnish. Bore exhibits consistent light to mild pitting, while retaining good, albeit worn rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture shows scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, with the varnish exhibiting some age related cracking and flaking, particularly on the on the buttstock. (25-6781/MLW).
