Cal. 30 WCF. S# 1194011. Bbl. 20". Model 94 lever action carbine mfg. by Winchester in 1939. Left side of the bbl. is marked with the model designation, followed by the Winchester trademark logo and the cal. designation. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Plain wood straight grip buttstock and forend, with grooved steel buttplate. Ramped, hooded, and brass beaded blade front sight. Rear sight has been replaced with a slot blank. Left side of receiver has been drilled and tapped and is fitted with a Williams adj. aperture rear sight. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning overall that show through to gray and brown patinas. Mirror bore, exhibiting well-defined rifling throughout. Action functions appropriately when cycled by hand. Wood furniture shows some scattered marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: from the lifelong collection of Jim Williams.
