Cal. 8x57 (8mm Mauser). S# F5/8182. Bbl. 23 1/4". Standard VZ-24 sights with Czech front sight protector. Matching numbers on left side of butt & receiver. Bolt has same F5 prefix but is numbered "F5 4980". Receiver ring has 1937 date. Left side of receiver has "E4 (Czech Lion) 38" 1938 acceptance stamp. Hardwood stock set with both bottom & left side sling swivels. No cleaning rod present. CONDITION: stock set shows a thin crack behind upper tang, scattered dings, handling marks, overall heavy finish & usage wear. Metal is mostly a silver color with scattered oxidation, dings & traces of arsenal blue finish. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Bore shows scattered frosting & pitting but good rifling.
