ACTION CARBINE. Cal. 30-30. S# B4814 (1941). Round, tapered 20" bbl. with "JM" proof. Bead front sight and elevator rear sight. Case-colored receiver and lever, drilled and tapped for tang sight. Original forearm and a replacement buttstock with a "bullseye" and a hard rubber buttplate. CONDITION: very good original blue finish. Very good, original case-colored finish with an added oil finish applied. Wood has had an added oil finish applied, showing scattered light handling marks and large areas of peeling finish around the buttplate. Bore shows strong rifling with residue on lands.
