Cal. 22 LR. S 678925. Bbl. 6" pinned. Pre-war first model, mfg. 1939. Patridge front sight w/ silver bead. Adjustable rear sight. Blued finish. Case-colored hammer & trigger. Magna grips w/ silver S&W medallions. Right grip panel is stamp-numbered to frame. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: red factory box matching-numbered to the gun; a factory letter confirming the revolver's configuration and stating that it was in a three-gun shipment to National Target & Supply in Washington, D.C., on September 20th, 1939. Also included is a copy of the purchase order to National Target & Supply. CONDITION: grips show some dings on the bottom and scattered handling wear. Trigger & hammer show light operational wear but retain nearly all their original case colors. Balance of metal retains 90% of its original blue, w/ some edge wear, operational wear, some silvering, & light handling wear. Bright, near-excellent bore. PROVENANCE: from the Estate of Jon Thomas.
