REVOLVER. Cal. 38 Spl. S# 42390. Bbl. 6 1/2" pinned. Patridge front sight. Adjustable square notch rear sight. Matching numbers on grip frame, bbl., cyl., extractor & right grip panel. Scarce 1933 made 38/44 Outdoorsman revolver with only 4,761 made before WW2. Blued finish with case colored trigger & hammer. Various metal markings have white highlight enhancement. Hammer has S&W patent marking. Checkered walnut diamond center grips with silver S&W medallions. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: factory letter that confirms the guns configuration & It was part of a 6 gun shipment to Union Hardware & Metal Co, in Los Angeles in 1933. Also included is a copy of the 1933 shipping invoice. CONDITION: grips show some dings & handling marks. Hammer & trigger retain strong amounts of case colors with notable fading to gray & some operational wear. Balance of metal retains 90% factory quality reblue with some light oxidation under grips, scattered edge wear mostly along bbl., some operational wear & fading.
