FACTORY LETTER. Cal. 32 S&W Long. S# X24727 electric-pencil marked on left side of frame. Possibly a one-of-a-kind revolver built on a Peacemaker 22 RF action. Frame is fitted w/ an experimental hammer block safety located in the loading slot. Serrated button is pushed-in to activate safety. Safety automatically comes off when revolver is cocked. Bbl. 6" w/ blade sight. Six shot fluted cyl. Blue & case colored finish. 2 piece checkered plastic rampant colt grips. Consignor supplied information implies 1979 mfg. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: letter from Colt Archive Properties detailing the following information, "Serial Number: X24727 / Caliber: .32 S&W Long / Barrel Length: 6" / Finish: Blue & case-hardened / Type of Stocks: Checkered hard rubber rampant colt grips / Shipped To: Greg Martin Auctions / Address: 660 Third Street, Suite 100 San Francisco, California / Date of Shipment: October 16, 2008". Includes a revolver is housed in a black leather covered oak case w/ green velour fitted interior for 2 Peacemaker revolvers. Inside case lid has a leather Colt Firearms label. Ebony handled accessories include cleaning rod, brush & turn screw. Case also holds brass oil bottle & case key. Foam-lined wood grain box is marked on end flap w/ S# & "731 Archives".
