BY WELCH. Cal. 58. NSN. Bbl. 5", unmarked, screw off, & cannon turned. Iron boxlock breech & action features reinforced cock & frizzen w/ flush mounted spring. Action has London black powder proofs on bottom & engraved w/ flowing scroll. "Welch" is on right side. Sliding trigger guard w/ acanthus scroll on bow acts as safety. Bulbous grip of European walnut terminates in Birmingham hallmarked silver grotesque mask. Stock is inlaid w/ fine silver wire scrolls. CONDITION: metal is mostly smooth, silver to gray patina. grip w/ old refinish & considerable missing wire. Mechanically good. PROVENANCE: The Estate Collection of Gary Parietti. (01-19230/MGM).
