DECOY. Black duck decoy crafted by R. Madison Mitchell in 1972. Decoy measures approx.17" in length and features gray, green, and white plumage, with a green bill. Underside features a lead weight and brass ring, and is carved "R. Madison Mitchell/ 1972". CONDITION: decoy retains the vast majority of its original painted exterior, exhibiting a few spots of light wear. Paint along the neck has cracked. Top of the head exhibits what appears to be a loose knot, having slightly raised and with the paint having cracked around the extrusion. (02-25982/MLW). NON-GUN. $200-300.
