ELEVEN DAILY COMIC STRIPS. 1) "The 'Master' Race", a three cell comic strip, circa 1942, depicting prisoners looking at a German army through the jail bars housed in a modern ebonized frame, matted under glass. 2) "Abbie and Slats" comic illustration dated 1-48-25 in the second tier of text as well as 1945 copyright by United Feature Syndicate, housed in a molded black frame, matted under glass. 3-11) "Straight from the Shoulder", and other daily comic strips from Abbie and Slats, all comprised of three to four cells in varying stages of production. Each unframed. SIZE: 1) 12" x 28" overall. 2) 21" x 28" overall. 3-11) each 6 1/2" x 21". CONDITION: "Abbie and Slats" frame illustration has black and white original sheet with pre-production title and artist's credit cut and overlaid upper left corner of comic strip that has changed color over time. Otherwise very good original condition. The nine unframed strips are generally good with some toning. PROVENANCE: from a Private Florida Collection.
