KNIFE W/ OWNER'S NAME & SCABBARD. 5 3/4" Spearpoint blade has saw type serrations on top edge, Randall marking on left. Owner's name "John H. Persing" is on right side. Stainless steel tubular handle is braised to brass guard & has rubber cap to cover storage compartment. Knife comes in what appears to be its original rough back sheath w/ "Randall Made" stamp at top & whetstone in pouch. CONDITION: good. Blade w/ some sharpening & a few minor nicks in cutting edge. Has not been cleaned or repolished. Scabbard shows considerable wear. Some thongs replaced w/ shoelaces. PROVENANCE: Collection of Dr. John Persing. (02-15417-6/MGM). $800-1,500.
