RIFLE. Cal. 222 Rem. S# 187-22441. Bbl. 18 1/2" with banded serrated blade front sight; folding peep sight at rear of receiver that is also factory machined for Ruger scope rings. Mfg. 1984 as Mini-14/5R/222. Blued and stainless 222's were intended for foreign sales to countries such as France and Australia that did not allow auto loading arms to chamber a military cartridge. Ruger lore states that an order was canceled while on loading docks for overseas shipment and the decision was made to sell them in the US. Blued 222 Ranch Rifles noted from serial number 187-257XX to 187-31395. All standard Ranch Rifle features including black fiberglass handguard. MAGS: 1 factory 5 rd. that is for 223 as no special magazine is needed for 222. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: original factory box with standard packaging to include Ruger scope rings.
