RANCH RIFLE. Cal. 222 Rem. S# 188-54599. Bbl. 18 1/2" with banded serrated blade front sight; folding peep sight at rear of receiver that is also factory machined for Ruger scope rings. Mfg. 1992 as Model 01834 and cataloged as KMini-14/5R/222; sold through a Ruger Benefit Auction in 2012. Blued and stainless 222's were intended for foreign sales to countries such as France and Australia that did not allow auto loading arms to chamber a military cartridge. Ruger lore states that an order was canceled while on loading docks for overseas shipment and the decision was made to sell them in the US. Stainless 222 Ranch Rifles noted from serial number 187-643XX to 188-55033. All standard Ranch Rifle features including black fiberglass handguard. MAGS: 1 factory 5 rd. that is for 223 as no special magazine is needed for 222; fails to function the hold open latch. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: original factory box with numerous extra stickers on label resulting from inventory control during its 20 years of storage at the factory. Standard packaging that includes original scope ring package but rings are missing. Outer plain shipping box from Ruger to FFL in CO. CONDITION: all aspects near excellent appearing new and unfired.
