Cal. 243 Win. S# 432116. There were only 2,186 of these rifles produced in this caliber with production spanning from 1960-62 making it the rarest of the 722A variants. Bbl. 22"with dovetailed brass bead front on a serrated front ramp. Elevator adjustable U notch rear sight. Factory tapped receiver mount holes are void of plug screws. Smooth pistol grips walnut stock with sling studs and checkered Remington aluminum buttplate. CONDITION: Overall good honest example with thinning finish at the muzzle and a few thumbprint size patches of thinning finish from a rack. There are some small patches of oxidation present on the vibrant factory blue finish. Floorplate and trigger guard have high edge and carry wear with some patinaed mild old oxidation. Bolt surfaces have developed a darker patina. The stock is overall good and was lightly sanded with some added varnish. There are light scratches and a couple of heavier impressions on the stock as well. Good bore with sharp rifling. CURIO (24-4369/ZAL) $600-800
