Cal. 7.25mm Adler. S# 1307. Bbl. 3 1/2". Scarce and immediately recognizable Adler semi-automatic pistol, a single action blowback, whose rackish grip angle is reminiscent of the Luger. Relatively few made with production reported limited to 1906-1907. The right side of the bbl. extension with 3-line address referencing patent, mfg., and the retailer "ENGELBRECHT & WOLFF". Crown/N proofing on right side of bbl. extension and top of bolt that also functions as a rear sight. Left side of bbl. extension mounted with the fire blued safety lever. At the rear is a large push pin whose removal allows hinged access to the bolt/firing pin/recoil spring. Full S# "1307" on back of frame. Hard rubber grips. each secured with a single screw, whose upper portion is molded with the corporate eagle logo, the balance a finely checkered and bordered field. Bottom mag. release. Matching mag. having a slotted right side and a flat pinned base marked "07". MAGS: 1 10-rd. CONDITION: an early restoration that now presents as VG+ with sharp edge and handling wear from a moderately used pistol. The has been blued and the color tempering of the trigger and a few other small parts was helped. Excellent grips without cracks. The mag., missing the follower button, is in the same condition as the pistol. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Correct manual mechanics. A rare developmental pistol by any metric. (25-4237/LMA). CURIO. $4,000-6,000.
