BOWIE KNIFE, MADE FOR LEVENSONS RADIO, WITH SHEATH. The left side of the blade is engraved with light scroll pattern engraving surrounding "Jungle King", with "Made for "Levensons/ Radio/ 22b Pitt St/ Sydney" marked on the right. The blade measures 8 5/8" from the point to the bottom of the ricasso, with an overall length of 13 7/8". Handle is comprised of 2 smooth wood scales, each retained by 2 brass screws, with a brass full guard. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: unmarked brown leather sheath. CONDITION: blade retains a gray patina, exhibiting light to mild pitting and areas of age related discoloration overall, with sharpening marks present on the blade edge. Guard exhibits a pleasing mellow patina. Grip scales are good, showing some chipping around the bottom screw slots, with some superficial handling marks overall. Sheath remains malleable, exhibiting wear, age related cracking & crazing, as well as several holes of varying sizes. (02-24413/MLW). $1,000-2,000.
