SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 32 ACP. S# 240126. Bbl. 3 3/4". 1 of 24,002 Model 1903 Hammerless semi-automatic pistols mfg. by Colt under contract for Belgium between 1915-1917. The slide exhibits standard factory markings denoting Colt's mfg. and patent information, as well as the cal. designation. Left side of the frame is marked with the S#, followed by a Belgian "A" within a diamond proof. Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Colt checkered brown hard rubber grips. Standard fixed half-moon blade front sight and dovetailed U-notch rear sight. Slide is unnumbered. MAGS: x1 unmarked aftermarket 8-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some light edge wear and fading, with scattered pitting present beneath the finish overall. Bore is bright, exhibiting consistent light pitting, while retaining good rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show some smoothing and superficial handling marks, with the right panel exhibiting a crack stemming from the screw escutcheon. (26-2413/MLW). CURIO. $300-500.
