REVOLVER. Cal. 36. S# 4107. Bbl. 4" oct. marked on top flat: “MANHATTAN FIREARMS CO. NEW YORK”, small German silver blade front sight, left side of bbl. housing has British proofs as do each chamber of 6 shot cyl. w/ 12 stops of Manhattan’s design. Cyl. is roll engraved w/ 5 different panel scenes & “PATENTED DEC 27, 1859”. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: English agency cold style oak casing w/ green baize lining compartmentalized for mold, flask, cap tin, screwdriver. CONDITION: pistol overall is fine, all matching & complete, bbl. retains about 60% bright blue w/ scuffing & nicks around wedge slot. Cyl. has traces of finish, frame has dull muted dark case color. Grip frame retains about 20% silver plate. Grips retain over 90% original factory varnish w/ moderate edge wear, mechanically fine w/ crisp bright bore w/ light pitting near muzzle. Casing is good overall, lid slightly warped, lining soiled & worn. 2 Cavity mold has about 20% blue finish & marked “MANHATTAN FIREARMS / MANF / CO / NY”. Small Dixon bag flask has light mustard patina, Ely cap tin is good, “L” shaped combination nipple wrench screwdriver has traces of finish, overall gray w/ pitting.
