SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH STOCK HOLSTER. Cal. 9x19mm. S# 5CH445. Bbl. 4 3/4". Hi Power Mk. I* semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Inglis in Canada under contract for Chinese Nationalist government during the mid-1940s. Left side of slide is marked "MK. I */ BROWNING FN 9MM HP INGLIS CANADA. Right side of frame and slide exhibit Canadian proofs. Right side of frame, slide, and bbl. exhibit the S# "5CH445", with "5" indicating this example was in the 5th series of pistols and the "CH" indicating the Chinese Nationalist government contract. Front grip strap is "NA CO" import marked. Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black hard rubber grips. Dovetailed blade front sight with tangent rear sight graduated from 50-500 meters. MAGS: 1 15-rd. MECGAR mag. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: wood shoulder stock marked S.A. LTD/ 1945" on the side towards the lug, with "MADE IN CANADA" on the reverse below the hinge plate. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning overall that shows through to gray patina, with scattered superficial marks, light surface oxidation, and some light pitting present overall. Bore exhibits consistent moderate pitting, while retaining good rifling throughout. Grips exhibit smoothing and some scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. Stock holster exhibits some scattered marks from handling and storage, with the lug having been ground down slightly at one time.
