& SCARCE GERMAN WORLD WAR II LAMINATED PAPER HOLSTER. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 356743. Bbl. 3 1/2". Model 1910 semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Belgium by Fabrique Nationale. Left side of the slide exhibits FN's early pattern slide legend and Belgian commercial proofs, followed by a Czech Weipert Proof House bow and arrow surrounded by an irregular hexagon above "32", indicating inspection in 1932. Left side of the frame exhibits Belgian proofs, with the S# marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece "FN" monogram checkered black horn grips. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide, and bbl. MAGS: 2 7-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: scarce German World War II black laminated paper holster. Holster body and closure flap are comprised of black laminated paper, with the closure strap, mag. pouch, and belt loop being comprised of pebble grain cowhide leather. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray and brown patinas, with some scattered areas of light to mild surface oxidation and pitting present overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting some light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show scattered marks from handling and storage, as well as a few chips. Right panel exhibits some discoloration, with the left panel exhibiting a small crack that stems from the screw escutcheon. Holster exhibits some exterior wear from handling and storage, as well as some delamination on the left and right sides at and around the crease of the closure flap areas, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. Closure flap's stud has popped out slightly, but does not appear to have an effect on serviceability. A rare Czech proofed FN Model 1910 pistol, with a scarce German World War II laminated paper holster. (24-5978/MLW). CURIO. $700-1,100.
