RIFLE. Cal. 5.56x45. S# 42-13783. Bbl.16.5" Mfg. 1987. This is one of very few rifles that were manufactured w/ a factory camoflauge pattern covering all external surfaces, other than the selector, trigger, mag release, flash hider, charging handle & sights. Receivers, magazines & even furniture wear this tan & green Desert Camo pattern. It has been published that only 300 of these were ever offered, and that was over 35 years ago, leading to their rarity today. The HK 93 is the semi-automatic version of the Heckler & Koch model 33, which is the little brother of the world famous roller locked German G3 rifle. The HK model 33 / 93 was designed as a scaled down version of the H&K G3 but chambered for 5.56x45mm NATO rather than the original 7.62x51mm NATO. Currently in A2 target configuration w/ wide forend & fixed rear stock. Folding, top carry handle. Threaded barrel w/ factory flash hider. Factory 4 position drum style rear sight assembly. Hooded post front sight. Push button mag. release w/ 0-1 metal clip on trigger housing. Mag. well right side marked "MADE IN GERMANY, / HK CHANTILLY VA." Left side mag. well marked "HK93 CAL. 5.56x45 / 42-137183" w/ Eagle IH & Antler, indicating 1987 mfg. MAGS: 1 matching metal 25 rd. CONDITION: All aspects indicate very little use, if any, beyond factory test firing. Rifle finish retains full coverage w/ very light thinning in areas of mechanical intervention, which occurs almost immediately. Furniture is all in excellent condition. Bright bore w/ strong rifling. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. (25-1169/JZ). MODERN. $7,000-9,000.
