PISTOL WITH EXTENDED BARREL. Cal. 32 ACP. S# 21597. Bbl. 4 5/8". Model 1910 semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Belgium by Fabrique Nationale. The left side of the slide is marked "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES de GUERRE HERSTAL-BELGIQUE/ BROWNING'S-PATENT DEPOSE", above Belgian commercial proofs. Right side of the tapered bbl. is marked with repeated and additional Belgian commercial proof marks. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered horn grips, each with an intertwined "FN" monogram at the top of the panel. Slide features a matte sight groove, with an integral diminutive blade front sight and U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide (interior), as well as the bbl. (left side at chamber). MAGS: 1 7-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, showing areas of wear and thinning that are fading to gray patina (primarily on the slide), as well as some spots of very light to light surface oxidation overall. Frame exhibits mild pitting beneath the grip panels. Bright bore, exhibiting consistent light pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Action functions appropriately when cycled by hand. Left grip panel exhibits numerous chips, cracks, and small losses, with a large crack stemming from the butt and running through the screw slot. Right panel shows fading and some smoothing, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. (25-3459/MLW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
