CARBINE. Cal. 8x57 (8mm Mauser). S# 186. Bbl. 17 1/2". Blade front sight. Tangent rear sight graduated to 1400m. Matching numbers on receiver, stock & bolt. As-is typical for FN Mausers other visible parts are unnumbered. One of only 200 FN Mauser carbines made for the Amsterdam police. Receiver top has Queen Juliana crest with added white highlight. Lfet side of receiver has "GEM POLA'DAM" Amsterdam police marking. Blued finish. Walnut stock set with bottom mounted & left side front sling swivels. Rear left left sling swivel has been plugged as is typical for Amsterdam police guns. Cleaning rod & leather sling are present. CONDITION: stock set shows a light chip behind upper tang, some scattered dings & handling marks. Bolt remains mostly bright with some scattered oxidation. Balance of metal retains 93% original blue with some spotty oxidation on bbl., some light scratches & edge wear. Action is functional when hand cycled. Very good bore with strong rifling.
