1763 DRAGOON FLINTLOCK PISTOL. Cal. 70. NSN. 15.5” overall, 9” barrel with proofs and “M1763” on tang, date stamp “93” for 1793. Lock marked “M’ de Libreville”. Libreville (Free City) was name given to Charleville arsenal by First Republic government the during short lived “Reign of Terror” Sept. 1793 to July 1794 where radical “sans-culottes”, and Republic guardsmen would kill thousands during the French Revolution.
