SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 249926. Bbl. 5". Model B semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Spain by Star under contract for the German military during World War II. This example, mfg. in the second batch of Model Bs (S# 242415-257393) is marked "F Patr 08", followed by the Star logo, Star's mfg. information, as well as the cal. designation on the left side of the slide. Left side of the frame is marked with Spanish proofs, with an Eagle/WaAD20 marked on the right frame tang. Butt is stamped "B" above the S#. Chamber is marked "Cal.08", followed by a Spanish proof. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the trigger, which is polished in-the-white, the ejector, which is strawed, as well as the hammer, which is case color hardened. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Half-moon front sight, with dovetailed square notch rear sight. MAGS: 2 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: unmarked period brown leather holster. CONDITION: very good, with metal components retaining the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some areas of mild wear and thinning, some scattered superficial handling marks, as well as some scattered spots of light to mild surface oxidation and pitting overall. Chamber and extractor exhibit some age related discoloration, but are otherwise fine. Excellent bore, exhibiting some light surface level pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips are very good, showing some light to mild smoothing, as well as some scattered marks from handling and storage. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting some light wear and some areas of discoloration, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable.
