SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 592887. Bbl. 3 3/8". One of only approx. 8,000 Model 1934 semi-automatic pistols mfg. by Mauser that were procured for the German military from 1940-1941. Left side of the slide is marked with the S# within a milled panel, followed by Mauser's mfg. information, with "Cal. 7,65 D.R.P.u.A.P." marked on the right. Left side of the frame is marked with an Eagle/655 acceptance proof, above an eagle-firing proof. Sideplate is marked with the Mauser banner logo. Metal components exhibit a polished salt blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece checkered wood wraparound grip. Half-moon blade front sight with U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, sideplate, slide, and bbl. MAGS: two 8-rd. CONDITION: very good, with metal components retaining the majority of their original blue finish, exhibiting some areas of light to mild wear and thinning, some scattered superficial handling marks, as well as some scattered spots of light surface-level oxidation and pitting. Mirror bore, exhibiting a few small spots of mild pitting towards the muzzle, while retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Grip shows some scattered marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. (24-6764/MLW). CURIO. $500-1,000.
