ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 7mm Mauser. S# 1292. Bbl. 23 1/4". Standard VZ-24 sights. Matching numbers on receiver, bolt & stock. Handguard has a loose fit & appears to be mismatched with a faint "07" number at left rear. Rare Guatemalan VZ-24 with only 4,000 rifles made prior to WW2. Receiver top has fully intact bold Guatemalan crest. Small locking screws are missing from bottom metal. Blued finish. Walnut stock set with both bottom mounted & left side sling swivels. Cleaning rod present. CONDITION: stock set shows scattered dings, handling marks & finish wear. Metal retains 60% original blue with some edge wear, scattered oxidation & fading to gray. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Bore shows scattered frosting & pitting but strong rifling. (25-5071/MJC). CURIO. $2750-3750.
