Cal. 22. S# 318. Bbl. 2 7/16". Keno single shot derringer mfg. by Hyde & Shattuck circa. 1870-1880. Left side of the bbl. is marked "Keno", with no other identifying markings present. Brass frame exhibits a nickel plated finish overall, and is mounted with 2-piece plain wood bird's head grips. Matching S# "318" is present on the frame (right side beneath grip panel), as well as on the bbl. (underside). CONDITION: frame retains the majority of its original nickel plated finish, exhibiting some superficial handling marks, small spots of flaking (around the breech area), and a series of small impressions on the butt. Steel parts have faded to a gray patina, exhibiting light pitting and scattered spots of age related discoloration. Bore exhibits consistent moderate pitting. Grips show scattered superficial marks and small impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sound. (01-26724/MLW). ANTIQUE. $400-600.
