RADOM VIS.35 SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# K4209. Bbl. 4 5/8". Vis.35 (German designation: P.35(p)") semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Steyr at their Znaim factory. Left side of the slide is marked "F.B.RADOM VIS Mod.35.Pat.Nr.15567.", followed by an eagle firing proof above a Steyr Eagle/623 proof. Left side of the forward trigger guard web and bbl. lug exhibit a Steyr Eagle/623 proof. Metal components the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece grooved wood grips. Slide features a matte rib, with a fixed blade front sight and dovetailed V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide (underside of right slide rail), as well as the bbl. MAGS: 1 phosphate 8-rd. mag., marked with a Steyr Eagle/623 proof on the right. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied phosphate finish, exhibiting some light edge wear, as well as some small scattered spots of age related discoloration. Very bright bore, exhibiting consistent light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show a few superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: The Estate Collection of Charles Wagner. (25-357/MLW). CURIO. $1,500-2,500.
