Cal. 45ACP. S# NSN. Bbl.16". Mfg. 1964-1968. An extremely unique, early pistol caliber carbine, chambered in 45ACP. Blowback operated, open bolt, semiautomatic. Many of these guns, which heavily resemble a Thompson from a distance, had no serial number, which was not required before the Gun Control Act of 1968. It has a tubular receiver, similar to a Grease Gun, rather than a rectangular receiver like a Thompson, and is charged in a similar manner to the Grease Gun, by inserting a finger into the ejection port and manually retracting the bolt until it connects with the sear. The safety is located on the left side of the receiver, above the pistol grip. Protected blade front sight. 10 ribs on barrel in front of receiver, above vertical foregrip. Pistol grip is integral to the lower receiver. Elevation adjustable rear peep sight. Hardwood shoulder stock w/ steel butt plate & rear sling swivel. MAGS: 1 steel Grease Gun 30 rd. CONDITION: Dark black finish on exposed metal surfaces ranges from full coverage to thin & sparse. Shoulder stock is in nice condition w/ period typical impressions & scratches. Bore is bright w/ shallow rifling. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. (25-2168/JZ). CURIO. $500-800.
