SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 9mm Glisenti. S# 10881. Bbl. 3 3/4". 1 of approx. 15,000 Model 1915 pistols mfg. by Beretta. Left side of the slide is marked with Beretta's mfg. information above the model and cal. designations. Right side of the frame is marked with a "PS" within an oval, denoting Italian police issue. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Slide appears to have either been poorly stamped or refinished during the period. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Fixed blade front sight with dovetailed V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide, and bbl. (left side). MAGS: 1 7-rd. CONDITION: frame retains fair amounts of its original blue finish, showing moderate wear and thinning that is fading to gray and brown patinas, with consistent light to mild surface oxidation and pitting present overall. Slide and bbl. retain large amounts of their blue finish, showing some wear, with scattered spots/areas of light to mild surface oxidation and pitting, with the left side of the slide also exhibiting a patch of moderate pitting. Bore is bright, exhibiting consistent light pitting and a patch of dark moderate pitting towards the muzzle, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Action functions appropriately when cycled by hand. Grips show some smoothing, as well as scattered marks from handling and storage. (25-3431/MLW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
