PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 32 ACP. S# 983580. Bbl. 3 13/16". Model PP semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Walther in 1938. Left side of the slide is marked with the Walther banner logo, followed by Walther's mfg. information, as well as the model and cal. designations. Front grip strap is engraved "R.J.", indicating issue to the Reichsjustizministerium (Reich Ministry of Justice). Right side of the frame (chamber), slide, and bbl. exhibit a Crown/N commercial nitro proof. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the chamber area of the frame, which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black synthetic Walther banner logo grips. Standard fixed blade front sight and dovetailed U-notch rear sight. Slide matches the frame via "580", which is etched on the interior, parallel to the ejection port. MAGS: x1 8-rd. with black synthetic grip extension. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: unmarked reproduction black leather holster. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting scattered spots of light to mild edge wear fading to gray patina, a few scattered spots of light surface oxidation, as well as a few light superficial handling marks overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting a couple of small spots of very light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics, to include the safety / decocking lever. Grips show some light smoothing, as well as some superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sound. Holster is very good to excellent. (26-2781/MLW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
