ENGRAVED AUTO-LOADING RIFLE. Cal. 35 Rem. S# 19610. Bbl. 22". Ramp mounted bead front sight, folding leaf rear sight w/ combination tang sight. Recoil operated rifle w/ action spring in bbl. sleeve, mfg. 1906-1936. Action & breech end of bbl. have factory E grade hand engraving. Left side of receiver features a mountain scene w/ a running mule deer buck. Balance of receiver has 75% coverage of finely done vine-type foliate scroll engraving w/ wavy & ornate borders. Forearm & round knob stock of fancy thin shell walnut. Features include point pattern hand checkering w/ swivel eye & German silver presentation plate in toeline. LOP: altered to 13 5/8" over an aftermarket black ventilated Pachmayr pad. CONDITION: bbl. & action retain over 90% original blue showing light carry & edge wear. Stocks have worn finish w/ moderately worn checkering showing numerous scratches, marks & dents. Sound action. Bright bore retains lightly worn rifling. (25-566/DS). CURIO. $4,000-6,000.
