Cal. 22 LR / 22 Mag. S# 93-01552. Bbl. 4" with blade front sight plus frame notched rear. Mfg. 1993 (1993 to date for all New Bearcats) as Model 00912 Convertible with catalogue number of SBC4. Blued steel frame including trigger guard; black alloy ejector housing. Smooth Rosewood grips with small silver eagle medallions (black backgrounds). Wide spur hammer of Super Blackhawk style. ".22 CAL." on barrel having eagle logo and Southport address; frame unmarked except for serial number. Of approximately 1,000 Convertibles made, only about 700 exist as Ruger announced a recall in which they kept the Magnum cylinders of those sent to the factory (301 by 1 reference) and refunded $40. There was reported to be a problem with timing of the Magnum cylinder that could cause case heads to rupture posing danger to users and bystanders. Original Bearcat loading gate with plum hue and no positioning tab at top. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: original yellow / black 1 piece box (plus shipping sleeve with remnant of UPS label) with packaging to include auxiliary 22 Magnum cylinder, recall notice and Nov. 20, 2006 factory letter from Robert Wood (Product Service Manager) to Stoneagle (gun shop only 1/2 mile from Newport factory) advising him to return the Magnum cylinder; no manual (regular New Bearcat manuals available free from Ruger).
