PISTOL. Cal. 7.62x25mm. S# T939. Bbl. 4 9/16". TT-33 semi-automatic pistol mfg. at the Tula arsenal in 1938. Left side of the frame is marked with the S#, followed by the Tula arsenal star insignia and the year of mfg. "1938", which is repeated on the top of the slide. Frame and some small parts exhibit small Soviet proof marks. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece grooved brown synthetic "CCCP" marked grips. Standard fixed blade front sight and dovetailed U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching, to include the frame, slide, and bbl. via the full S#, with the hammer pack matching via "39" on the left side. Mag. is absent. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original blue finish, exhibiting scattered spots, patches, and streaks of wear and thinning fading to gray patina, as well as some scattered spots of light surface oxidation and pitting. Rear grip strap exhibits a consistent scattering of light surface oxidation. Bore is bright, exhibiting consistent mild pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show a few light superficial handling marks, but otherwise remain very good overall. (26-2711/MLW). CURIO. $800-1,400.
