Cal. 7.63mm (30 Mauser). S# 466. Bbl. 6 3/8". The Schwarzlose Standart was one of the most refined but least appreciated semi-automatic pistol designs to have been introduced before the 20th century, production estimated at fewer than 500 pistols. This standard configuration Standart, a single action, short recoil pistol having a rotary bolt, was fitted with a 6 3/8" bbl. having a fixed front sight and a notched rear sight adj. over a helicoid base for elevation. The left side of the bbl. and frame were Crown/C/U proofed. Full S# appearing on the back of the bolt, the left side of the trigger, and the bottom of the mag., the last 2-digits appearing on the back of the firing pin that also serves as a cocking indicator. Fitted with a pair of wooden checkered grips. Bottom release mag., nickel plated, with follower button and a pinned floorplate numbered on the base. MAGS: 1 8-rd. CONDITION: VG+ as partially restored. Rear sight assembly, takedown/safety levers, and trigger now in-the-white. Grips oil darkened, retaining approx. 20% original varnish. VG original finish mag. Near mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. An unusual and classic developmental semi-automatic pistol by any metric. (25-3528/LMA). CURIO. $10,000-15,000.
