PISTOL. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 8705. Bbl. 4 3/4". 1 of approx. 2,000 Series 4 Lahti L-35 semi-automatic pistols mfg. by Valmet (formerly VKT) for commercial sales after World War II. Top of the bbl. extension is marked with the Valmet logo above "L-35", with the S# engraved on the left side. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece "VKT" logo brown synthetic impress checkered grips. Dovetailed blade front sight with integral U-notch rear sight. Frame is without a stock lug, as is standard for Series 4 pistols. All serialized parts are matching, to include the frame, bbl. extension, and bolt. MAGS: x1 blued steel 8-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some scattered spots and patches of light wear and thinning, some scattered spots of light surface oxidation and pitting, as well as some superficial handling marks overall. Bore is relatively bright, exhibiting consistent light pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips are very good overall. (26-2704/MLW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
