HIGH POWER SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 07-135969. Bbl. 4 5/8". High Power semi-automatic pistol mfg. by FMAP "DM" (Military Portable Weapons Factory "Domingo Matheu") under license from FN for the Uruguayan contract. Left side of the slide is marked "FABRICA MILITAR DE ARMAS PORTATILES "D.M. ROSARIO/ D.G.F.M./ LICENCIA F.N. BROWNING" and "INDUSTRIA ARGENTINA", with an encircled Uruguayan crest above "R.O.U." marked on the top, towards the rear sight. Right side of the forward trigger guard web is marked with an unidentified proof. Metal components exhibit a black enamel type finish overall, save for on the 2-piece bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black synthetic grips, and features a lanyard ring on the left side. Fixed half-moon blade front sight, with dovetailed U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching in the "stacked" fashion and include the frame, slide, and bbl. MAGS: 1 phosphate 13-rd. mag., with blued button type floorplate. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their black enamel type finish, exhibiting some light to mild wear and thinning on edges, with some scattered superficial handling marks present overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting consistent light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: The Estate Collection of Charles Wagner. (25-380/MLW). CURIO. $800-1,200.
