Sporting front sight w/ replacement elevator adj. full buckhorn rear sight. Full length mag. Action features scarce single set trigger. Walnut forearm & straight grip stock of crescent steel trapdoor buttplate. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 2 sections of original style 4 piece cleaning rod. Cody Firearms Museum records check detailing the following information, "Type: Rifle. Caliber: 44. Barrel Type: Octagon. Barrel Length: 26 inches Extra Heavy. Trigger: Set. Received in warehouse on April 10, 1890. Shipped from warehouse on April 10, 1890. Order number 10211". Mfg. 1896. CONDITION: metal finish has a mottled gray brown appearance w/ spots of light pitting & handling marks. Refinished wood has dark appearance. Forearm has a long crack along left side of bbl.
