PARACHUTE AND ORIGINAL CARRYING BAG. These early WWII German RZ-20 are very difficult to find, particularly with the original carrying bag. The RZ-20 model from 1941 was used by all paratroopers jumping from the HE-111 and the JU-52 aircraft. They were used early in the war and saw use in all airborne operations, including Crete. The parachute is constructed of cotton, silk & canvas and features quick release buckles. The Fallschirmjager were a branch of the Luftwaffe and performed large scale airborne operations throughout the course of the war and were commanded by General Kurt Student. General Student commanded the first large scale airborne attack in history at The Hague and subsequently the infamous airborne operations against Crete. CONDITION: parachute has not been unpacked, but appears to be in solid condition with operable buckles. The exterior carrying case shows light wear. (02-18115-2/BF). $2,500-3,500.
