FUHRER-SS SECTION CHIEFS AND MAIN OFFICE STAFF. This lot consists of a WWII German SS cuff title/sleeve band that is of questionable authenticity. We have had differing opinions about this item which often occurs with WWII German items. Please use your own judgment as to the period of manufacture of the following item. It is important to note that the consignor states this item was originally purchased from a veteran who brought it back from Germany. This rare cuff title was worn by chiefs of the principal sections of staff of the Reichs Fuhrer-SS and SS main offices. See "CLOTH INSIGNIA OF THE SS" BY Angola pages 68-69. The sleeve band is 13 1/2" long and 1 1/8" wide with 4 silver bullion stripes on a black field. The band has obviously been removed from a uniform. CONDITION: the band shows light wear but has heavier wear to the edges. (02-24480-5/BF). $1000-2000.
