ALBRIGHT. Cal. 52. Smooth bore full oct. 39 1/2" bbl. signed ZA. NSN. Percussion lock is unmarked. The curly maple stock is pinned to the bbl. Cheekpiece side of the butt is nicely relief carved & the silver oval cheek piece inlay is engraved w/ a Pennsylvania Dutch bird. 4 Piece patch box is not engraved & it has 4 piercings. Zachariah worked from 1819-1827 In Haines Township, Centre County. CONDITION: break in the wrist is repaired in period but wood is original w/ exception of a 2" piece replaced between the lock & bbl. tang. PROVENANCE: Collection of Dr. John Persing. (01-19572/RG).
