PISTOL. Cal. 50 CF. S# 5516. Bbl. 7" round w/ blade sight. Case colored rolling block action. Right side of frame has inspector's initials "P/F.C.W". Breech end of bbl. has the anchor marking. Walnut forearm & 1 piece grip. Left side has "FCW" cartouche. Modified from the Model 1865 for government contracts in the early 1870s. Total quantity unknown. CONDITION: bbl. retains 70% blue showing muzzle wear w/ spots of corrosion. Action shows 70% lightly visible case colors. Wood finish shows light wear & small marks.
