SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 GA, 2 3/4". S# B13768. Bbl. 30". Model A5 "American Browning" semi-automatic shotgun mfg. under license from Fabrique Nationale by Remington for Browning circa. 1940-1946. Left side of bbl. is marked with Browning's retailer information above the cal. designation with "BP" within an oval stamped at the breech. Sides of the receiver exhibit light foliate scroll engraving, with the Browning trademark logo and S# also marked on the left. Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish, with the upper portion of the receiver exhibiting a matte sandblasted blue finish. Checkered rnd. knob buttstock and forend. Bbl. with matte strip and aluminum bead front sight. Matching numbers are present on the receiver and bbl. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some scattered superficial handling marks overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting a couple small dings throughout. Action functions appropriately when cycled by hand. Wood furniture shows scattered marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, with the buttstock exhibiting cracking and chipping along the receiver tangs on the wrist and being wrapped in black electrical tape.
