PISTOL.
Cal. 22 Long Snapper. S# 676. Bbl. 8 3/8" w/ ramped pistol base having pin installed blade. Rear sight attached to receiver w/ windage adjustable blade. Replacement unmarked bbl. w/ distinct flair at breach. Hammer w/ wide rectangular spur coarsely checkered. Blued finish w/ proper frame markings to include “P” & “F.C.W.” martial marking. Mfg. early 1870’s. Custom checkered walnut stock set. Forend w/ decorative side panels at receiver & pronounced schnabel tip. Grip w/ elliptical shaped butt incorporating raised panel that contacts base of thumb for RH use. Gripstraps altered from original shapes; pistol built by Lloyd Roberts. Cal. (chamber cast confirmed; bbl. not marked) configuration approximates shortened 22K Hornet; appears enough material to rechamber to more common K Hornet. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: good plus simple handmade holster of thick cowhide leather having unusual slotted leather flap securing method & single wide angled belt loop marked “Lloyd Roberts” w/ 2 stamped Stars of David plus 4 more on front of flap. CONDITION: very good overall appearance as refinished w/ some thinning spots on bbl. Very good stock set w/ no visible means of forend attachment. Near excellent bore. (01-20326/NW).
